I Can Do What I Want To

Cuz it's my birthday! Yay!

It sure doesn't feel like it though. I totally forgot about my birthday until just last week when someone reminded me by asking what I wanted. I have so much fun planning other people's birthdays and events that when it comes to my own, I become sort of lost... People were asking what I was doing for my birthday, where I wanted to eat out at, and what I wanted and I just was at a total loss. Sometimes I wish there was someone like me, who could just plan my birthday for me so I don't have to worry about it. But, unfortunately, I'm the only person in my family who does that sort of thing so... We're going to Legends in KCK like we did last year, and probably just hang around in that area. Nothing too special.

Last week has been an exciting week at work. We assisted KCMO on a fleeing felon. We and KCMO have been tryin to catch this guy who had felony warrants out of both Missouri and Kansas for every crime you can think of. Dangerous guy who runs at the sight of police. Well, that got on KCMO's nerves so they chased, tracked him down with their copper and our K-9 Unit, while the rest us were setting up a perimeter. It was a lot of fun.

Then the next day we have an auto burglary in progress in my district. Turned out the bad guys were still in the area so we set up a perimeter, and our K-9 unit did a track. We were unable to catch our suspects, but we know who they are. That was a fun report.

Then I caught the grease pirates :). That was huge. We had been getting a ton of e-mails about these two suspects in grease theft all across the metro. Well, I saw them pull out of one of our shopping centers at like 3:30am in a grease truck. I ended up stopping them and immediately identified them as the grease pirates from our e-mails. However, I couldn't prove they stole any grease, but I got good pictures and did a report on it. My sergeant was so proud. :)

So, it's been a good week and now I'm going to celebrate my birthday. All I really want is like a gift certificate to Barnes and Noble or Borders or something. I could spend my entire day at a bookstore, I love it so much. :) It's rainy today, and you would think that would be really crappy for my birthday. Absolutely not. It's reading weather today! :)
