Not That It's An Excuse

But I have been so busy, and I haven't updated this in such a long time because of that.

Things have changed in the short amount of time I haven't been here. Financially, I'm still struggling. I'm moving soon, so hopefully it'll cut down expenses by a lot. I've also picked up a lot of off duty jobs (another reason why I haven't been here) and I'll be getting some more money that way.

Work has been good. I had my first evaluation by my sergeant last month. He said some really great things about me, that really made me feel good. My 10 month evaluation is next week. The 10 month evaluation is where all my supervisors and all my FTOs meet with the Lieutenant and Chief and talk about me. My strenghts, weaknesses, all that. Then they decide if they want to keep me with the department, or fire me. It's a pretty big meeting. A lot of people get fired at this point. I've had other coworkers say I've been doing great and they won't let me go. We will see on the 18th.

Personal life? Don't worry, I got over Kirt. Yes, he's still sexy, smooth, and scrumptious, but I'm over my lust for him. I no longer think about him. I also got over the other guy I liked... There are some things about that other guy (*Blake*) that just won't work well with me, plus, I'm not his type. And really, he wasn't mine, but that dream had changed it.. Anyway, I'm over him. I'm not dating right now... Not saying that I'm not going to date, but I'm picky, and I haven't found anybody. I think I probably shouldn't look. Looking takes too much time and they say if you don't look, he'll just show up. Right..

I've been reading. A LOT. I've read the book 'Twilight' and its sequel 'New Moon'. It is by Stephenie Meyer. 'Twilight' is coming out as a movie in November. I'm excited to see it. It's about a vampire and a human that fall in love. It's a really good book. There's 4 books, and I'm going on number 3.

In addition to reading, I've decided to write my own book. Instead of posting the story online like I've done in the past with Vincent fanfiction stories, I've decided to actually write it as a novel and try to get it published... So, I won't be posting the story online for my safety so nobody copyrights the story. The book is called 'The Other Woman'. It's about a young woman who meets and falls for this man and finds out he is married. Sound familiar? Anyway, it's NOT based on a true story, let me warn you. I've never, and will never, go as far as it will go in this book. I just thought this plot would be interesting if someone wrote it from the other woman's perspective. Usually when you read books or watch movies with this type of plot, it's from the man or wife's point of view. And the other woman is typically a nasty, slutty, cold-hearted bitch. Well, I've decided to write it from the other woman's point of view, and the other woman is just a regular, hard working woman who falls for this man, and what happens when the "shit hits the fan". Anyway, it's good so far. I'm still writing chapter 1. I really plan on making this a good novel so I'm going to be taking my time on it.

Anyway, there's my little update. I'll try to start posting on here more often.

I'm sorry it's taken FOREVER for me to receive the gifts, my mailbox was jammed, and finally the post office has released my mail to me. They're sweet and I feel blessed to have such great friends such as you two. :)
