Moving!

I have officially decided to move. I'm not moving all that far. Actually, more like a 5 minute drive away. The apartment I'm moving to is SO much nicer. It has a little more space then the apartment I'm in now, and it's cheaper. This apartment complex is offering me what's called a courtesy officer position. That's where I patrol the area, close the pool, that sort of thing, and I get 50% off of my rent. So the apartment I'm moving in to is a 1 bedroom that's just absolutely gorgeous. It has a unique layout which I think makes it look a lot larger than the square footage listed. The apartment I'm living in now is 700 square feet and the one I'm looking at 760 square feet. I pay $725 for my current apartment, no utilities included. This apartment with the courtesy officer position is $362.00 a month with trash and gas included.

So my lease ends in November, and I'll probably be out around then. I just hope the courtesy officer position stays available that long *crosses finger*. There is a way to get out of my apartment early, but it'll cost me $1350 and I just don't have that much money.

Beginning of Phase 5 is...wow. Being back with my original FTO is nice, because he's the most laid back and realistic FTO I've had. He lets me do whatever I want. Take phone calls on my cell phone (which most officers do anyway), listen to the radio, stop whatever car I want, go on whatever calls I want. He doesn't tell me what to do. In matter of fact, when he wants to do something, he asks me. He said that he wants me to do whatever it is I'm going to do when I'm out on my own. He also doesn't point out any mistakes I make, until the end of the day when he types up my DOR. Yes, I made a couple mistakes yesterday. I think it was a transition thing because it was small mistakes. I'm so used to having my FTO tell me what to do that having him not say anything as a huge change. So, the first day was ok. I have things I need to work on. He says I'm doing fine.

Oh and Phase 4 FTO just got promoted to corporal yesterday. So that's kinda cool. I was his last "trainee" he will ever have. He'll be promoted to sergeant soon too. A couple sergeant positions are opening up here soon and he'll definitely have one of those slots. I think that's good. He's well liked and very smart. He has a leadership personality so, I personally think he'd do well. Only thing that sucks is he's going to be my supervisor because they're putting him on the midnight shift- the shift I'm on right now. Which means he'll be back to approving my reports. Just when I thought I was done with him...Lol.

Phase 5 FTO thinks Phase 4 FTO has a thing for me. I was surprised to hear that actually. He thinks this way because of how playful he was with me during our 3 weeks together. I don't know... I think he's just playful. But now that he's been promoted I'm sure he'll be completely different. :P
