I went to Lawrence and saw my mom, little brother and little sister. My little sister, Adrienne, wanted to come with me to Kansas City to spend the night. I figured I didn't have anything else to do, so I brought her along. On the way home to KC, we stopped by Pizza Shuttle, the best pizza place in the world, only located in Lawrence. I got my favorite cream cheese pizza with green peppers on it. Mmm. Then we went to KC. We went to the pool, went clothes shopping where I got a pair of pants and two tank tops, went grocery shopping and hung out.
Today we went to the pool again. I woke up around 11am (on accident, I meant to wake up at 9am :P) and by 11:30am we were at the pool. I layed out, dipped in the pool, layed out, dipped in the pool and repeated that process til about 2pm. Now I finally look like I've got sun this summer. It was so relaxing. I don't know why I haven't brought myself out to the pool earlier, it's only a 1 minute walk from my apartment lol. It's amazing how a little sun can just take all my problems away.
Tomorrow I'm supposed to get my hair straightened before going to work. I only get one day off next week, with a transition to the midnight shift *sigh*. But hey, I'm almost done with FTO. Yay! I really hope that I get my hair straightened with enough time left over to go lay out at the pool. I just want to take a book, an ipod and relax. It's so nice.
Anyway, it's been a great weekend and I'm glad I was able to relax enough. I think I'm ready to take on whatever goes on next week at work now that my mentality is back to normal :).
Ok, so my makeup is a tad smeared and my hair looks funky lol, but I had a good time.

Sounds like a relaxing time. Let me know how the hair straightening thing goes. My daughter has very curly, long and thick hair (which of course she hates, lol) and she wants to get it straightened. I think she should at least wait until swim team and water polo are over. The chlorine really dries out her hair. I didn't like my curly hair either at her age, but at least she has the advantage of styling products. Back in the mezozoic age, we didn't have that stuff!
