I woke up at 3am this morning, feelin terrible, I'll spare you the details. I thought it would go away by the time I had to get ready for work at 5am, but it didn't. So, I did myself and probably everyone else a favor and called in. It was weird. I felt like I had the worst hangover in the world. The world was spinning, my stomach hurt, my throat hurt, everything hurt. And no I didn't drink last night. I don't even have any alcohol in my house.
Anyway, it's about 2pm. I feel better than earlier. Not cured. But better's all I need for tomorrow.
So, I've been thinking. I'm in an awkward place in my life. I feel like I'm missing out. You know, I'm only 21 years old and it feels like I went straight from my high school years to adulthood. I didnt have the fun college years to transition from.
I was playing around with my facebook today and was browsing through my old high school friend's facebook pictures and seeing how much fun they're having. You know, they all go to KU, they're all partying either at frat parties or parties in downtown Lawrence. It looks like fun and it just makes me feel like I'm missing out a lot. I know there are more important things than partying, and I'm doing those important things. I'm not saying I'm not enjoying those important duties that were given to me, because I am. I'm just saying it kind of sucks that I didn't get to live the "college years". I'm doing college and career at the same time, and with my career, it prohibits certain things, as it should.
Plus, I look at myself and I look the same. I mean, obviously older, but pretty much the same.
So, since I can't change the past, I think I'm going to get my hair drastically cut. Straightened. Colored. Lol, this doesn't exactly solve the problem but it'll make me feel better.

Yeah but just think what a jump on your career and life you are getting. Dollars to donuts (donut pun intended, rookie) many will end up moving back in w/ their folks after graduation till they can save enough $ to go out on their own. And look at you, already doing it!!!
:P i don't even like donuts, lol
